With more than 167 years, the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) is an institution integrated in the national scientific and technological system, recognized in teaching and innovation in Engineering. It promotes the creation and sharing of knowledge with more than 6500 students and has a training portfolio of 12 Bachelor’s and 15 Master’s degrees, part of which with EURACE quality seals awarded by the Order of Engineers and several postgraduate courses in different areas of engineering.
Convinced in the legitimacy of the motto “Saber Fazer”, it is distinguished by its strategic relationship with the business sector and by research and technological development in the scientific and technological areas corresponding to the engineering areas in which ISEP offers training and, at the same time, has groups research and / or service provision with several years of activity and numerous research and service projects to external entities, namely business.
ISEP’s strategy includes, among other aspects, the reinforcement of the service provision activity abroad, in areas with high added value and where the participation of a higher education institution constitutes a fundamental factor in the creation of value and transfer of knowledge. technology. This strategy is, moreover, in line with what is legally foreseen for polytechnic higher education institutions.
